About Margot L. Herman
Dr. Herman received a Bachelor’s of Science from Cornell University in Human Biology, Health and Society in the school of nutritional sciences. She returned to her hometown to attend medical school at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She then completed residency in internal medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. During residency, she developed a passion for gastroenterology and clinical research. She completed her gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Washington, where she received focused training in the management of inflammatory bowel disease, in addition to general gastroenterology and hepatology. She has presented her scientific research at national meetings and published research in multiple peer-reviewed scientific journals.
