Frances Lu, MD

Frances Lu, MD, is a diligent and compassionate gastroenterologist who believes in partnering with patients to deliver individualized care. She is board-certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and her practice encompasses the entirety of general gastroenterology including acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory diseases, and liver disease. She has a particular interest in colorectal cancer screening and prevention, nutrition, and digestive health. After earning a BA in Premed at University of Delaware, She then earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University school of Medicine in Philadelphia. After which she completed her medical internship and residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in NYC. and went on to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the same hospital. She worked as a GI specialist at Kaiser Permanente Northern California prior to joining Providence Medical Group. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. As a female gastroenterologist, Dr. Lu has a special interest in women’s health and related concerns. She embraces the value of an integrative approach in the medical care of her patients. She is committed to living a healthy life style and believe that balance is the key. Outside of medicine, She enjoys spending time with her family in tennis, skiing and traveling.
