Dane was fantastic. He spent time with me to understand my issues completely. He had suggestions of how to manage my symptoms when they occur and made me feel comfortable to contact him when my symptoms present themselves for further care.

This appointment was a referral from my primary provider to connect me with the gastroenterologists group. Shoemaker was my first contact. Excellent, thorough. Knew my history and asked questions of me. The primary purpose was to schedule a colonoscopy for the coming year. That purpose achieved.

I appreciate his candidness regarding my condition, his clarification regarding treatment protocols and his supportive attitude toward using another source (nutritionist) for more support during major dietary changes.

Fantastic care and medical advice

Dane was great. He listened carefully to me. Was apologetic that he hadn't been able to review all my records before stepping into the exam. But as he was running late & I had another commitment, he was respectful of my time. He caught up quickly with the urgent need, did his exam, & made a plan. I was extremely satisfied & reassured.

My visit with Shoemaker was thorough, detailed, comprehensive and friendly. He answered all of my questions in detail. He gave me suggestions and recommendations for my future care and self care which are working for me now. He gave me positive feedback regarding things that I'm doing right and changes I can make in my self care. I felt we talked about all facets of my condition and what future tests I might consider if certain ailments persist. There Is nothing that I can think of that we did not cover concerning my care and present condition, my condition and care going forward. Please understand that I do not have visits with Shoemaker on a regular basis as he is a specialist I see when needed. My primary care is taken care of/overseen by my primary care physician.

Dane gave me the time for me to ask questions and discuss options for a very challenging chronic GI problem and without being hurried which was important since it takes me time to process information and sometimes have it repeated or clarified due to MCI. He is knowledgeable about IBS-C and alternative treatments to consider when prescription Rx is not effective enough. I'm so grateful for his care and knowledge.
