Lisa K. Holbrook, MD

Lisa Holbrook, M.D., always had an interest in science and nature, and naturally figuring out what makes people “tick.” As a child she followed her older brother around, and when she was older, she followed him right into medicine. She loves teaming up with her patients to solve problems and developing strategies to most positively affect change in their lives, and enjoys and honors the responsibility of caring for the entire family.

In her practice, Dr. Holbrook likes the variety of issues that are part of family medicine—whether it’s working with patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension, advising on preventative care, or being alongside someone dealing with life stressors. “My most important job is to listen. More often than not, I cannot cure a condition or completely relieve the suffering, but I can always be there as a sustained presence to ease the burden. I am here for you,” she says. What Dr. Holbrook enjoys most about being a medical provider is the having the opportunity to walk with patients through their lifetime journeys and provide reassurance, comfort, aid, and hope along the way.

Dr. Holbrook earned her medical degree from Indiana University. She completed an internship and residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Arizona.

Born and raised in the Midwest, Dr. Holbrook moved to the Pacific Northwest shortly after her residency. She has two children. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, yoga, hiking, and playing ice hockey.
