About Steven J. Klopsch
Dr Steven Klopsch was raised in Spokane and is a graduate of Mead High School and Whitworth University. Prior to medicine, he was a high school Chemistry teacher at Shadle Park high school. Subsequently, he attended Medical School at Loma Linda University in California. Post graduate training was back in Spokane at Providence Family Medicine Residency Spokane. He specializes in family medicine and is passionate about caring for the whole family, throughout all stages of life, including newborns. Dr Klopsch no longer does obstetrical care but did for many years and still has a special interest in women’s health. Given his teaching background he particularly enjoys educating patients about disease processes/treatment and believes strongly that the doctor patient relationship should be a collaborative one with shared/informed decision making.

Dr. Klopsh was very attentive and listened and had a good bedside manner.
Providence Patient
I just wasn't impressed with bedside manner, didn't have any personality, it was all about why I was there, looking at chart, checking vitals, not sure he even really looked at me.
Providence Patient
Among my many health challenges, Dr. Klopsch is managing my diabetes. After many years of my blood sugar being under good control. Dr Klopsch told me that my A1C on that day was normal! I believe that the reason I'm alive today is because I have received excellent health care. Twelve years after being diagnosed with lung cancer, I appear to be cancer free.
Providence Patient
