I love the Kettle Falls Clinic. The receptionists, the nurse, the doctor and the woman who took my blood were all friendly and professional. I have been going to this clinic for decades and I love that I get the same staff with each visit. When I lived in a big city, I got what ever doctor was on duty. I love having a doctor/nurse who know me.

Dr. April Hume and the Kettle Falls Clinic are an excellent example of what our health care system should strive for. I wish I could say the same about the Colville Clinic. They could certainly learn a lot from the phone person that you talk to in order to get appointment to the receptionist.

The weekend before my husband's appointment, he did not feel good. I had sent Dr. Hume a message updating her on my husband's slow decline with his Dementia. She messaged me back saying that she appreciated the update. Dr. Checked him over well and thought she heard some crackles in his lungs, she ordered a chest x-ray. It came back with the beginning of phenomena. Dr. Ordered some meds. But Dr. Was so sweet on how she talked to him about his failing memory. We have been going to Dr. Hume for 15 years, we have a nice repour with her which we appreciate, there are time that I need to talk to her regarding my husband, she is always there for me. It means the world to me!

Dr. Hume is always attentive to my concerns and respectful of my decisions while at the same time offering her suggested course of action. I feel heard and cared about.

Dr. Hume is knowledgeable, listens well, and adds a human touch. She asked questions that pertain to my health, but also about my life in general. For example, she asked if my garage was completed yet. On another visit she inquired about the significance of my necklace.
