Zachery Sensing

Dr Sensing earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College and is a resident training in Internal Medicine at Providence Portland Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Sensing grew up in a small town in rural Middle Tennessee. A fascination with human physiology prompted him to pursue a BS in Biology as well as a MS in Biomolecular Science at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. After briefly considering a career in research, he realized that patient care was where his true passions lie. While in medical school, he developed a passion for the service of underserved patient populations. Dr. Sensing has lived in Middle Tennessee his entire life and decided when applying to residency that it was time to explore a new part of the country. He is excited to have the opportunity to come to the Pacific Northwest and join the PPMC family. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking, trying new foods/restaurants, playing the piano, and travel.
