About Staci J. Eskesen
Staci Eskesen, MD, decided to become a physician because it was the best way for her to learn science, teach and interact with other people. She chose family medicine because she is able to take care of people of all ages, at all stages of life. In her practice, she emphasizes disease prevention and promotion of health, nutrition, exercise/physical fitness and goal setting to achieve optimal health.
Dr. Eskesen is a board-certified physician. She says she enjoys establishing relationships with her patients and their families, learning new things every day and working with others who have like-minded goals to care for people. Her philosophy of care is to spend more time listening than talking so she can develop an individualized treatment plan with her patients. Her goal is to take care of the whole person, not just their disease. She hopes to inspire patients to take an active role in managing their health and to help them coordinate their care in our sometimes complex medical environment.
Dr. Eskesen earned her medical degree from University of Washington School of Medicine and completed her internship at Valley Family Medicine in Renton, Washington. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Washington.
A Seattle native, Dr. Eskesen says she is happy to have made her home in Portland with her husband and two children. She enjoys running, traveling, cooking and trying to keep up with her kids.
