Raquel A. Bishop, FNP

Raquel Bishop, FNP, has worked in the medical field most of her adult life and has always been drawn to helping others. She went into family medicine because she felt there was a need to assist, support and advocate for individuals and families in their health care.

In her practice, Raquel promotes care in which her clients are educated and empowered to make the best choices that support their greatest health and well-being. What she enjoys most about being a medical provider is building meaningful relationships with clients and families that help guide their health decisions. “I strive to provide collaborative patient-centered care that encourages prevention and promotes a sound physical and mental health,” she says. In addition, Raquel has worked in many aspects of health care, including the laboratory, clinics and hospitals.

Raquel earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree, Family Nurse Practitioner, at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.

Born in San Jose, California, Raquel moved to Vancouver, Washington, as a child. She has lived in the greater Portland area for most of her life. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, hiking, playing with her dogs, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She has three adult children and two dogs that are Boxers.
