Michael Z. Saladik, MD

Dr. Michael Saladik is a Family Medicine provider who graduated from Oregon Health & Science University in 2016. Michael Saladik, MD,MPH thought he would be a teacher, a chef, or an engineer. But along the way he realized as a family doctor he could combine his interests in teaching, food, sports, science, and problem solving, and work with patients to improve their lives and achieve their goals. "I make sure that I consider the whole person and the circumstances around them so I can make thoughtful evaluations and recommendations that fit each individual or family. Everyone has a story and it’s essential that we listen." Dr Saladik also advocates for his patients with the Oregon Academy of Family Physicians. "The care that is provided in clinics and hospitals is only one part of what makes up the overall health of the patient. It’s important to me to think about the bigger picture and work in a variety of ways on behalf of our patients and our community." Dr Saladik grew up in Pennsylvania and attended Dartmouth College where he studied math and music, before settling in Portland, OR. He earned his medical degree and masters in public health at Oregon Health & Science University and completed his residency at the Providence Oregon Family Medicine Residency. Outside of medicine, he enjoys staying active by running and playing soccer, playing music and singing to his daughter, gardening, and cooking nutritious food at home with his wife.
