About Kelsey S. Tanaka
As a family nurse practitioner, Kelsey enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients, working as an integral part of their team, and helping them become empowered partners in their own health. “The best medicine is team based,” she says. “That includes patients, providers and family members.”
Chronic disease management, women’s health and adolescent health are key areas of focus in Kelsey’s practice. Her most important role, she believes, “is to make medicine more accessible so we all can live healthy lives regardless of our circumstances.”
A graduate of Scripps College in Claremont, Calif., Kelsey earned her master’s degree in nursing and her graduate degree as an advanced registered nurse practitioner at Seattle University. She completed her residency at International Community Health Services in Seattle.
In her free time, she enjoys taking her mini Aussie to the dog park, playing pickleball and trying new restaurants.

This was first visit, and the questions I was asked, as well as the information I was given were very insightful and knowledgeable. Was more impressed than I expected to be.It was not easy to find a provider - first started trying to make an appointment in January!! But, was worth the wait

Excellent visit, thank you!

The visit was to establish a new PCP. Dr. Tanaka was easy to communicate with. She listens well and asked good questions. The supporting staff appear organized and the facility was nice. The need for front door security measures is concerning and likely a result of changes to the local neighborhood. The parking garage is convenient.
