Cody Wiench

Dr. Wiench earned his medical degree from University of Utah School of Medicine and is a resident training in Internal Medicine at Providence Portland Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Wiench was born in Spokane, WA but grew up on a dirt road in Spirit Lake, Idaho. He attended the University of Idaho where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and majored in Biology. After graduation, he worked in a research lab studying tumors in Tasmanian devils and made the decision to go into medicine due to his love of working with others and science. He attended medical school at the University of Utah and discovered his passion for inpatient internal medicine. In his free time, he enjoys lifting weights, camping, hiking, backpacking, survival skills, watching The Office or crime drama on Netflix. He is super excited to get to know the people of Portland and to start his career here! Oregon has so much nature to explore, so that’s where you’ll find him when he’s not working.
