Miriam E. Choate, MD

Miriam Choate, MD, MPH, finds joy in caring for families, “I love providing care for all ages, from birth through every phase of life,” she says. Dr. Choate is especially committed to women’s health care, newborn care, well-baby visits, and lactation support. “It’s my privilege to provide access to high-quality, well-coordinated care and support patients as they take control of their health and improve their quality of life,” she says.

In her practice, Dr. Choate emphasizes a supportive environment, “I consider myself a team member who provides resources and information for my patients, who are the team leaders,” she says. “Careful listening and honest communication are the keys to achieving the best care possible.”

Dr. Choate earned her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. She completed her internship and residency training at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. Dr. Choate also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology.

Born and raised in Decatur, Georgia, Dr. Choate now calls Oregon home. When not at work, she enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, and traveling with her family. In addition to English, Dr. Choate is fluent in Spanish.
