My arm looks like I am a druggy. She was probably the worst I had in terms of a blood draw. Didn't ask what arm I usually had my blood drawn from which was left. She did the right and had to dig around to find the vein. Painful and I have 4 bruises. Wish I could upload a picture! Overall though it was a great visit because of Dr Hoover. She is the best. I already have my 2025 wellness booked. Give her a raise! She's a keeper!

I dislike the PHQ-9 questionnaire. When I declined, I was told the doctor "gets in trouble". If I want to discuss my mental health, then I will. Dr. Hoover knows me and we discuss in normal conversation, not some laminated paper and a wax pen. I am in medical field and know what it is for but doing it this way is impersonal and I doubt many people are honest in their responses. Interaction with patients is how the provider should get the information. Dr. Hoover has been my doc for more than 15 years. She is always patient, kind, understanding and nonjudgmental but honest. She is informative and knowledgeable. She either has a memory beyond most people or she reviews my chart each time before I come in. If it was a test or an Issue I had 10 years ago, she remembers It and references It correctly. She cares more than any physician I have ever had.
