I was nervous to have a male doctor for my primary care. As a woman in her 40s I have had a lot of providers in the past who did not seem to take me seriously or give me the time when discussing issues related to weight, reproductive care and overall vitality. Dr. Caputo always listens and provides a variety of options for next steps. When it comes to weight, he has never blamed my health concerns on weight alone and only brings it up when I do. It feels more like he is treating my whole person than the numbers on the scale and I really appreciate that!
