Juancarlos Buller, MD

Dr. Juancarlos Buller started at OLE Health in 2016. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California-San Diego School of Medicine, in 1997 and completed a residency at Loma Linda University in Family Medicine, in 2000. Prior to coming to OLE Health, he worked in sports medicine as a team physician and has been affiliated with several athletic organizations including the UC Berkeley Golden Bears, California State University—Cal Maritime Academy Keelhaulers, Sacramento State University Hornets, and the San Diego State University Aztecs. He held a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the San Diego Sports Medicine Center, a program affiliated with Sharp Healthcare and Stanford University School of Medicine, in 2001. In 2012, he returned to medical training to complete the Northern California Faculty Development Fellowship at the University of California-San Francisco School of Medicine. Dr. Buller has also volunteered as clinical faculty for several schools, including the University of California-Davis and taught classes in both undergraduate at Pacific Union College and medical school at Touro University and UC Davis. He is a family physician and has an extensive background in musculoskeletal and sports medicine. As a medical provider here at OLE Health I am passionate about caring for the underserved in our community, whether helping the homeless, our Latino migrant farm workers, or our growing population with disabilities. I love practicing complete family medicine to our most vulnerable populations. Aside from sports medicine, medical education, and administrative leadership, my professional interests include biomedical ethics and ambulatory procedures. My research and scholarly activities include topics in sports injuries, faculty development and clinical curricular development.
