Justin D. Wheeler, MD

After growing up in rural Montana, Dr. Wheeler attended St. Olaf College in Minnesota as a first-generation college student. Prior to medical school, Justin worked as a Fulbright Scholar in India on tuberculosis public health research and followed that experience as an Albert Schweitzer Fellow working with gay, lesbian, transgender, questioning and intersex youth in New England while completing his medical degree at a combined program of Dartmouth College and Brown University. Justin completed his residency in family medicine at Oregon Health & Science University and, afterward, turned his attention to community health centers and physician leadership opportunities in Colorado. During that time, Dr. Wheeler completed a graduate program in community health center management at George Washington University and served on the executive team of one of Colorado’s largest community health centers. In 2019, Dr. Wheeler and his family returned to the Pacific Northwest and full clinical practice where he finds providing obstetrical care and women’s health services particularly rewarding. In his spare time, Justin, his husband and daughter can be found exploring southwest Washington hiking, camping, biking and kayaking. When not working to expand a growing farmlet, he enjoys gardening, knitting and cooking.
