About Karen A. Frankwich
Dr. Frankwich graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in biology from University of California, Los Angeles in 2004.
Dr. Frankwich continued with her medical education at the University of California, San Diego and completed her internal medicine residency at UCSD Medical Center. Prior to pursuing a fellowship in endocrinology, she became a volunteer assistant professor at UCSD while practicing hospital medicine at the VA San Diego Medical Center. She earned a teaching award for her services as an educator for UCSD medical students.
Dr. Frankwich practices general endocrinology and is dedicated to maintaining the health and well-being of her patients. She has interest in thyroid disease, bone disease, diabetes management, and pituitary disease.

I have been to three endocrinologists before dr Franklich over the last few years. She was a delight and the most complete endocrinologist I have ever been to. She was Very helpful In trying to get my blood sugar under control. I still have a ways to go but it is a good start. She is the first endocronologist from Providence I visited and the whole deparment seems to be well staffed. Thank you for providing this great department at Providence. No other endo outside of Providence over the past few years comes close to this endo group and Dr. Frankwich.

I will say after this appointment, there was some confusion about the office calling me to set up next appointment, so I had to call in a few days later, which happens occasionally. Dr Frankwich listens to me, evaluates my symptoms, results, and how I feel, the whole picture, not just test results, which is very helpful.
