About Ricardo Cardona Guarache
Dr. Ricardo Cardona is a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist with expertise in complex ablations, lead extractions, and implantable defibrillators and pacemakers. In addition to combining the latest technology with current evidence-based practices, Dr. Cardona takes a personalized approach to the care of his patients. He has authored several peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, focusing on novel approaches to cardiac procedures and device management. Dr. Cardona is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine / Washington State University. Dr. Cardona completed his training in cardiology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where he served as the Chief Fellow for the program. After his first fellowship, he pursued two years of advanced training in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Cardona has received several awards, including the Outstanding Cardiology Fellow Award, Cardiology Exemplary Leadership Award, and Investigator Award for Scientific Excellence from the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society. Outside of work, Dr. Cardona loves traveling and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with his family.
