Lauren Letsinger, Doula

Lauren’s postpartum care and support focuses on rest, healing and nourishment. With a background in social work settings and a Seattle-based food company, she brings a warm, calming energy and lots of snacks. She was inspired to specialize as a postpartum doula because this period is such a unique time in life for the parent, child and all other members of the family unit as they adjust to life after pregnancy. She is drawn to this time of transition and is a grounding and reassuring presence. Lauren currently works during the daytime with limited overnight shifts. In addition to her training with Bastyr’s Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations in 2021, she has participated in courses on lactation and feeding, mental health first aid, and the Slow Doula Method. She is always looking to expand her knowledge and find ways to support each unique individual and family. Lauren enjoys redecorating her home with secondhand finds, starting craft projects and going for long walks.
