Lauren Pitre, MS, RDN, LDN

Lauren is a registered dietitian who joined the Providence Center for Weight Management team in 2023. Prior to joining Providence, she practiced in the field of bariatrics for three years where she conducted research on metabolic adaptations induced by weight loss surgery. Lauren obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Louisiana State University in 2018. She then received her Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Oregon Health & Science University in 2020, where she also completed her dietetic internship. In addition to being a registered dietitian, Lauren is also a certified personal trainer. In her practice, Lauren believes in a whole-person approach to healthcare and nutrition counseling. Like most things, weight loss management is not one-size-fits-all, and she aims to tailor her approach to the needs and preferences of each patient. Lauren maintains that the patient is the most important member of their healthcare team and values collaborating with her patients when creating their care plan.

Originally from New Orleans, LA, Lauren chose to pursue her master's degree here in Oregon to expand her worldview and encounter new and different people, cultures and ideologies. In her free time, Lauren is an avid hiker and dancer and enjoys baking breads and pastries for her friends and family.
