Sarah Skidmore, RN, CDCES

Sarah Skidmore, RN, CDES is a registered nurse and certified diabetes care and education specialist with Boldt Diabetes and Nutrition in Centralia. She enjoys working with all stages of diabetes care, including prevention, monitoring, medications, diet, exercise, and support. She is also interested in helping patients improve blood sugar with continuous glucose monitoring systems. As a lifestyle coach with the national Diabetes Prevention Program, she is a facilitator of a year- long class in Lewis County that focuses on weight loss through healthy diet, exercise, and behavioral change. Prior to becoming a nurse, Sarah spent time working with the Cancer Information Service and then in case management with disabled and elderly clients. She is passionate about wellness and helping patients navigate through the challenges that diabetes presents. She has a BA from the University of Washington in political science, 1984 and received her RN from South Puget Sound Community College, 2012. Her interests include spending time with family, friends, gardening, cooking, and pursuing outdoor activities.
