Dr. Amy Swerdlin Frankel's practice is built around the trust and relationships that she enjoys developing with her patients. She takes pride in treating their skin conditions and helping them stay healthy. In addition to preventive care, Dr. Frankel emphasizes compassion and teamwork. "I want to provide the best care possible to patients, with personal attention," she says. "My most important role is to educate and empower my patients to proactively manage their own care."
Dr. Frankel, a board-certified dermatologist, earned her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She completed an internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California, and her dermatology residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.
Dr. Frankel grew up in Ventura, California. When away from her medical practice, she enjoys cooking, running, playing tennis, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband, son and daughter.

Dr. Frankel is very good at her job: she is thorough and listens to my concerns every time I have had an appointment with her.

My waiting time was a bit longer than normal BUT my feeling is that when things are running a little late, it means the doctor is taking the time necessary to answer concerns that the other patients have, since I appreciate the time I am given when I have extra concerns, I have no problem waiting. With a dermatologist, each patient may need a biopsy or more freezing of spots. She caught four areas of concern and one that required further treatment- the other three need to use the chemo cream at home. I feel Dr. Frankle does a very thorough job and and I am very pleased to have her as my doctor.

Love Dr Frankel. She treats me like an adult and If and "in office" surgery Is necessary she Is gentle, fast, thorough and follows through with directions for after care. If I question a spot where I have noticed a change she explains what It Is and how I can treat It at home If surgery Is not necessary. My only complaint is waiting so long to get in to see her if I have to change an appointment.

A man came in the waiting room with extremely strong cologne, when I explained to the receptionist that I have scent allergies and could they text me when the doctor was ready for me, she was so supportive, had me step outside until she procured a room early for me. Very understanding and kind. My doctor was kind, unhurriedly answered all my questions and did 3 procedures, explaining clearly each step and follow up care.
