About Shahrzad Akbary
Dr. Akbary was born and raised in Southern California. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California and then went on to medical school at Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a traditional rotating internship in Largo, Florida before moving to Michigan to complete her dermatology training at Michigan State University-St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor. During her time at St. Joe’s, Dr. Akbary authored several publications and presented at both local and national meetings. She received comprehensive training in all aspects of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She was honored to serve as Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Akbary is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Akbary is happy to be back home practicing in Southern California. In her spare time, she likes to hike, cook and travel with her husband.

I have hx skin ca. Dr office had cancellation so I got in quicker than later scheduled appt. Front office always professional as is Dr Akbury and back office staff is great. I LOVE my dermatologist, she Is wonderful. Very satisfied with facey overall. Only concern is phone waiting time for appt.

A little further drive for me to go but the provider was very knowledgeable and patient with me, answered all my questions and took care of the issues I had.
