About Lorinna H. Lombardi

Dr. Lombardi is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who is committed to ethical, professional, patient-centered eye care. She has a wealth of expertise and experience in caring for patients and as serving as an educator for other physicians. Dr. Lombardi spent 14 years at the Casey Eye Institute, OHSU, where she was an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology. She served as the Director of Comprehensive Ophthalmology and the co-chair of the Microsurgical Curriculum. During her time at CEI, she was honored to receive the Resident Teaching Award, the Faculty Service Excellence Award, the Kenneth C. Swan Resident Research Award, and the Excellence in Ophthalmic Knowledge Acquisition Award. She is an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology and has received an American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award. Dr. Lombardi spent over a decade teaching cataract surgery techniques to ophthalmology residents, including complex surgical strategies such as Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery. She introduced some of the latest technologies to residents at CEI, such as the Femtosecond-Laser-Assisted-Cataract Surgery and Intraoperative Aberrometry. She brings her skills and expertise to the community to help patients achieve their highest potential for optimal vision. She attended U.C. Berkeley for her undergraduate education and received her M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine. She moved to Portland to complete her ophthalmology residency at the OHSU Casey Eye Institute (CEI) and has been serving patients in the Portland area for over 15 years. She was named one of Portlands Top Doctors in 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023 by Portland Monthly Magazine. Dr. Lombardi specializes in cataract surgery and comprehensive eye care. She provides screening and treatment for a diverse range of medical and surgical eye conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eyes, and diabetes. Urgent eye care exams are also available.
