Yujen Wang, MD

Dr. Wang earned a bachelor of science in Biology from University of California, Irvine and his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He returned to the west coast for his internship at both the University of California, Irvine and Long Beach VA Medical Center. Dr. Wang attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York for his Ophthalmology residency. He completed the two year intensive medical & surgical Retina-Vitreous and Ocular Trauma fellowship at the University of Alabama, Birmingham under the co-directions of Robert Morris, MD and Douglas Witherspoon, MD. Dr. Robert Morris is a pioneer in the field of vitrectomy surgery and ocular trauma. Dr. Wang also completed both a research fellowship at the Helen Keller Foundation for Research and Education and served as a Physician Clinical Instructor at the University of Alabama, Birmingham--teaching both residents and medical students. He and his family moved to Southern Oregon in 2002. Dr. Wang enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and car racing. Dr. Wang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). He is a Member of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), Oregon Academy of Ophthalmology, and American Medical Association. He has participated in many national clinical studies on macular degeneration and implant device for uveitis
