Dr. Bavand Youssefzadeh is a fellowship-trained physician and surgeon recognized for his expertise in refractive surgery, corneal diseases and treatment, cataract surgery with advanced intraocular lens implants, glaucoma management and surgery, as well as a wide array of general ophthalmology procedures. A distinguished member of the Sigma Sigma Phi Medical Honor Society, Dr. Youssefzadeh graduated at the top of his class and served as class president during medical school. He holds a degree in biochemistry from Baylor University and earned his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. He completed his ophthalmology residency at NOVA Southeastern University/Larkin Community Hospital, where he was honored as Chief Resident. Further refining his skills, Dr. Youssefzadeh pursued a prestigious fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the Gordon Schanzlin New Vision Institute. Dr. Youssefzadeh is fluent in Farsi and Spanish, allowing him to connect with a diverse patient population.
