About Edward S. Yung

Dr. Edward Yung is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology with sub-specialization in glaucoma. Dr. Yung has been a part of the Pacific Eye Institute team since 2017 and provides many services including, but not limited to: glaucoma consultations, laser and surgical management of glaucoma, cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and comprehensive adult eye care.

Dr. Yung has a wide range of academic interest in glaucoma, including evaluation of innovative drug treatments, minimally invasive surgical devices, devices for continuous intraocular pressure monitoring, and innovative optic nerve imaging technology. His ongoing interest is the investigation of optic nerve head blood flow with Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography as it relates to the pathophysiology of glaucoma. He is the author and co-author of numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, continuing medical education courses, and presentations at national ophthalmological conferences. Dr. Yung has also been the recipient of many prestigious awards in the industry.

Dr. Yung speaks conversational Cantonese Chinese and German.
