About Arwa M. Alsamarae
As a board-certified glaucoma specialist in Santa Rosa, CA, I provide medical and surgical management of all types of glaucoma as well as routine and complex cataract and anterior segment surgeries. I look forward to offering both traditional glaucoma surgeries (trabeculectomies, glaucoma drainage devices) as well as more novel MIGS (minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries) including the iStent, Hydrus, and Xen Gel Stent, among others. I also have an interest in sustainable outreach efforts and look forward to participating in frequent surgical endeavors alongside global partners as well as the Eye Care Institute’s outstanding local outreach efforts. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors, particularly discovering beautiful and challenging new hikes. I also enjoy indoor rock climbing, reading, writing, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends.
