About Yungtai Kung
Dr. “Tai” Kung returned to his native California to join the Eye Specialists of Napa Valley in 2019. He greatly enjoys seeing a broad range of ophthalmological conditions and specializes in the management and surgical treatment of glaucoma.
Dr. Kung was born and raised in Los Angeles County where he completed all of his primary and secondary education. He then attended the University of California Irvine where he majored in Biological Sciences.
He obtained his medical degree from New York Medical College where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for being one of the top students in his class. He then completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. Following residency, Dr. Kung completed a fellowship in glaucoma at OHSU Casey and Legacy Devers Eye Institutes in Portland, OR.
Dr. Kung has had a number of publications and presentations throughout his post-graduate training, however he is most passionate about taking excellent care of his patients.
