Jeffrey Z. Tsao, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Tsao is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who is passionate about providing high-quality care that puts the patient first. He is dedicated to the craft of cataract surgery and loves learning new techniques in order to provide the best results tailored to each patient's needs. He attended UC Berkeley as a Regents' and Chancellor's Scholar with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology followed by medical school at UC San Diego, then residency training at the UC Irvine Gavin Herbert Eye Institute. He worked for several years in the Bay Area providing comprehensive eye care to an underserved community before returning to Orange County with the Fullerton Eye Institute. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, with research interests in diagnostic devices as well as innovative surgical instruments. Outside of medical practice, he enjoys hobbies such as specialty coffee, origami papercraft, piano music, and traditional archery.
