About Alex E. Abdullayev
My family moved to the United States when I was 10 years old, and settled in Wichita, Kansas. I grew up in the mid-west and went to the University of Kansas for both my undergraduate and medical school education. I continued my medical training by moving to Alabama, where I completed my General Surgery and then my Cardiothoracic Surgical training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB); my passion for the outdoors then led me to Washington state. My interest is general adult cardiac surgery, including coronary artery bypass, valve repair and replacement, percutaneous valve interventions, arrhythmia surgery and aortic disease; I also enjoy general adult thoracic surgery including lung cancer surgery.
