About Alex M. Morss
Alex Morss, M.D., chose to become a physician because it allowed his interest in science and human physiology to work together and help others. "Cardiology further allowed me to focus on my interests of exercise and sports," said Dr. Morss. "Care of the heart gives me the opportunity to make a great difference in quality of life." In his practice, Dr. Morss believes medicine should focus on prevention first. "Medications and procedures should only happen when necessary, and when lifestyle approach is not adequate alone," he says.
After earning his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, Dr. Morss completed his internship and residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. He then completed a fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Morss is board certified in cardiology.
Born and raised outside of Boston, Dr. Morss moved to New Orleans for medical school. His family later moved across the country seeking a better life balance and the opportunity to spend more time with extended family members.

I feel stable in my health situation, I try to get good excerise weekly. Providence hasw done a good job of having the personel avalible and equipment for testing, etc. They seem to work with services such as Portland Clinic provider to cmplete my needs. One exception, I have not been able to get a primary provider for over a year but I now have an appointment with a provider in Feburary, hope this works out.
