Dr. Kawanishi is one of the best doctors I have dealt with in all my years of seeing doctors at Mission Heritage Medical Group. I always feel he allows me time for all my questions and gives me thorough, easy to understand answers. Great doctor!!

Superior visit experience always

I spent over 2 hrs with this dr. My husband had back to back appt so he saw us together. That didn't bother me but dr later said he had an emergency with one of his patient. His medical asst or another person could have come in to explain the delay. But we LOVE Dr Kawanishi - for his care, professionalism

Very clear communication and thorough visit - always

He was having trouble signing into his computer with his badge, so he was going to call the I T department. He knew me and my medical conditions so well, he carried on anyway. He did add to the records on My Chart when it got fixed. An AMAZING DOCTOR !!!!

I have always felt Dr. Kawanishi was fully present and listening during my visits. He was aware of my conditions and seems up to date on new discoveries or news on heart health. I never feel rushed. He has a good bed side manner!

I could not have a better physician than Dr. Kawanishi for my lymphedema. He is excellent.

Dr. Kawanishi is very knowledgable, and spends quality time with his patients. They were very accommodating about scheduling a follow-up, as I was granted Continuity of Care which ends on October [Date] The wait time in the office is the only drawback.

Dr. Kawanishi Spence considerable time with me and my wife asking questions giving answers to hours making a detailed report of the meeting. Has a nice sense of humor and I think as does my wife is a superior doctor. We cannot recommend him too highly.

There is a problem with the phone system and it takes an inordinate amount of time to get through to the office. Dr Kawanishi is always very thorough and takes time to go through my chart and any new medical problems I have. He explains things thoroughly and when I leave his office I know I'm very well taken care of.

I feel lucky to have Dr Kawanishi treating my venous insufficiency. He also has a great team working with him.

I drive 50 miles and incur about $[ID] in tolls each way to visit this provider and will continue to do so as long as possible. It's a bargain!

I schedule appointments 6 months in advance so it's never a problem. Dr. Kawanishi had an emergency patient when I was there so I had the choice of waiting a long time or seeing the nurse practitioner. As I didn't have any serious issues I was glad to be in and out quickly. That made the survey difficult to answer.

All the physicians and staff I see in the Providence community are excellent.

I trust his judgement and feel comfortable with him.

I don't have complete confidence with this particular doctor's practice or the office procedures...he is a nice person...and some of his staff are caring, while others are there for the dollar that they receive for the hour spent with patients...I think that the practice might need another MD on board rather than nurse practitioners to perform the medical procedures...my procedures, though done by the doctor seemed to have been managed in a "hit or miss" fashion rather than professionally done in part perhaps because I insisted that the MD perform the procedure and he was harried because of the limits on his time.
