About Scott V. Perryman
Dr. Perryman’s passion for combatting the pandemic of obesity began over a decade ago, during his surgical residency at Stanford University. Understanding that obesity is often the central cause of most leading causes of death including heart disease, diabetes and hypertension, he was drawn to this area of practice to serve patients in the most impactful way. This led him to complete a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Weight Los Surgery at Stanford University in 2010. Dr. Perryman gleaned the most advanced techniques in Weight Los Surgery from the former president of the American Society of Metabolic and Weight Los Surgery, Dr. John Morton. Dr. Perryman is a full active member of the American Society of Metabolic and Weight Los Surgery. Most recently, he has been recognized by his colleagues as one of the Bay Area’s Top Doctors for 2018.
Dr. Perryman has worked tirelessly since 2010 to build a robust Weight Loss Surgery Program in Sonoma. He combines his superior surgical skills and a strong background in biochemistry and nutrition with his mindfulness approach to the process of weight loss. He empowers his patients with emotional and psychological awareness, giving them tools that last beyond the effects of surgery; tools that last a lifetime. Dr. Perryman believes in the ability of his patients to become aware of, and to challenge, their behavioral patterns and their unconscious choices. He believes this is key in achieving sustained results and this distinguishes him from most surgeons. He considers it a privilege to be invited on this journey with you.
