In 2005, Providence founded Provider Solutions & Development (PS&D) to transform the recruiting experience for its physicians and advanced practice clinicians. With a mission to build and support healthier communities, one provider at a time, PS&D is dedicated to a holistic recruiting process. Unlike most physician recruiting organizations, its recruiters don’t work on commission. Instead, their priority is getting to know what candidates are looking for, both on and off the job, to ensure a long-term fit.
PS&D broadened beyond Providence’s seven-state footprint in 2018, and began recruiting for like-minded, purpose-driven clinics and health systems across the country. Today, PS&D recruits for more than 35 partners, delivering comprehensive, end-to-end recruiting services, including marketing, sourcing and operations.
The PS&D difference is exponential. Its 90+ employees help hire more than 1,400 providers a year, reducing time-to-fill and cutting client spend.
These savings and efficiencies have allowed Providence and PS&D partners to increase access to care for millions of patients in hundreds of communities, aligning with Providence’s mission to serve all, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
