Education
Education is part of the heritage of Providence St. Joseph Health. Our founders played a key role in building schools in the Western United States to ensure young people are well educated. We continue that tradition today with two educational ministries.
ProvidenceReady Program
ProvidenceReady connects career seekers of all ages to health care careers through experiential learning and work experiences. Our program encourages participants to explore the many career opportunities that exist within health care and provides experiential opportunities, such as paid internships. Our mission is for career seekers to make better-informed career decisions and to create pathways for careers within Providence. We hope to motivate and inspire individuals on their own career pathway.
University of Providence
The University of Providence in Great Falls, Montana is a Catholic liberal arts school that serves about 1,000 students. In addition to a liberal arts curriculum, the university features a school of nursing and offers continuing education for health care professionals and caregivers across Providence St. Joseph Health. Our vision is to build upon the great work of the school to help train and build the health care workforce of the future.
Providence High School
Providence High School is a private independent coeducational Catholic college preparatory school located in Burbank, California, on the campus of Providence St. Joseph Medical Center. The school is located across the street from major TV and movie studios. Its unique location in a health care and film production environment allows the school to offer three focus programs in Medical, Cinema Arts and Technology.
Of our 450 students, about 47 percent receive financial aid as part of our commitment to ensure young people of all socio-economic backgrounds can have access to quality education. Additionally, dependents of Providence St. Joseph Health benefit eligible employees receive a $6,000 discount on tuition. This discount may be applied annually per-student as a benefit provided by Providence St. Joseph Health.
