Gifts from the community make a tangible difference in the lives of our staff, clients and families. Patient care services, health education and vital equipment purchases have all been made possible through charitable contributions. A few recent examples of how gifts to the Providence Foundation directly impact the quality of care at SoundHomeCare & Hospice include:
Hospice Support
Respite Care support
Comfort Care Therapies
Home Health Support
Specialized equipment for patients with home rehabilitation care
Staff Support
Educational Funding for Home Health Rehabilitation Staff
Assessment Skills training resources for nurses
Last year the Providence St. Peter Foundation approved a grant of $150,000 for comfort care therapies and respite care at SoundHomeCare & Hospice.
“The comfort care therapies are an integral part of our hospice program. The personalized service that is being provided to our clients is beyond the scope of nursing and social work. The respite care program that is supported by the Foundation is absolutely essential. This is a vital safety net for patients and their families. Hospice could not survive without this service."
