Providence Internal Medicine physicians, also called internists, focus on adult medicine and care for patients from their teens to old age. The Providence team of internists have special training that focuses on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases.

The Providence Internal Medicine Clinic is associated with Providence Centralia Hospital and is certified by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

Office Hours
We are open for appointments Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are closed on weekends and major holidays. For medical emergencies call 911. For prescription refills, contact your pharmacy. Please allow 24 hours for the medication to be filled.

Our board-certified internal medicine physicians are pleased to serve the Lewis County Community.

Stella Thalhamer, M.D.
Stella Thalhamer, M.D., board certified internist, joined the medical staff at Providence Centralia Hospital in January, 2005. Dr. Thalhamer received her medical degree from in 1989 from Fatima College of Medicine in Maila, Philippines and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to moving to Lewis County, Dr. Thalhamer was an internist for seven years at Memorial North Park Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn. Dr. Thalhamer sees both male and female patients, although she does have an interest in women’s health care. Dr. Thalhamer and her husband Scott have one daughter and enjoy the kind and friendly atmosphere found in Lewis County.

Jong-Wook Ban, M.D.
Jong-Wook Ban, board certified internist, joined the medical staff at Providence Centralia Hospital in February, 2005. Dr. Ban, received his medical degree from Chung-Ang Univeristy in Seoul, South Korea and recently completed his internal medicine residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Ill. He enjoys golfing, skiing, and painting. Dr. Ban also speaks Korean, English and basic Spanish. He is especially interested in the management of diabetes mellitus, congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation and chronic obstructive lung disease.

Insurance and Payment for Services
We accept most insurances and Medicare. Contact your insurance carrier or our office if you have questions. Co-payments and payments for uncovered services are expected at the time of service. We will be happy to work out payment arrangements. Please let our staff know how we can help you.

From southbound or northbound I-5, take exit 77. Southbound drivers turn left onto Main Street W./WA-6. Northbound drivers turns right onto Main Street W./WA-6. Turn right onto S. Market Blvd.
