Take a moment for your heart by learning more about vascular disease. Providence Heart and Vascular Institute conducts a free lecture, "Vascular Disease: The Silent Threat," throughout the year to educate the community about the primary risk factors for vascular diseases. For dates and times, see our "Silent Threat" Lecture schedule.
If you have one or more of the risk factors for vascular disease, you may want to attend one of our vascular screening events. The screenings are intended as follow-up to the lectures. They are especially recommended for people who have these key risk factors:
Age 60 or older
Smoking
Diabetes
High blood pressure
Heart disease
Pulmonary disease
Family history of vascular disease
Screening events are scheduled by appointment only. They include screenings for the most life-threatening vascular diseases: abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), carotid artery disease and peripheral artery disease. The fee for a complete set of screenings (all three) is $100. A screening for a single disease is $40. To inquire about screening events, call Providence Heart and Vascular Institute at 503-216-2088. See our screening events schedule.
