Providence Child Center Foundation's Heart of Gold Award is bestowed annually upon compassionate citizens in our community for their dedication to improving the lives of children with special needs through advocacy and action.
It is with great pleasure we announce the recipients of the 2009 Heart of Gold Award – our dear friends, Pat and Jo Becker.
Pat and Jo and their style of servant leadership have given a tremendous amount of time and talent to support the medically fragile children lovingly cared for at Providence Child Center.
Their dedication has stretched over decades and includes Pat's leadership on the first-ever capital campaign to build the facility that now houses the Center for Medically Fragile Children. Pat and Jo’s service and commitment to these special children began and continues to this day through their leadership on the Foundation Board.
Together, Pat and Jo’s genuine affection and dedication to our community have moved family and friends to give generously of their time and resources to worthy causes throughout our community. For their dedication and inspiration we celebrate Pat and Jo who truly have Hearts of Gold!
