Dr. Chua joined Providence Neurology Associates in spring 2008. Before joining the Milwaukie practice, Dr. Chua had a successful neurology practice in Grants Pass. Dr. Chua completed a fellowship in neurophysiology/epilepsy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and another fellowship in neuro-AIDS at University of California-San Francisco.

Dr. Day is a general neurologist who treats neurological conditions such as tremor, Parkinson’s disease, memory loss, headaches and multiple sclerosis. He has particular interest in neuropathy, myopathy and myasthenia gravis. He performs EMG/nerve conduction studies and provides Botox treatments for certain neurological conditions. Dr. Day received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. He completed his internship in internal medicine and his residency in neurology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in Saint Louis, Mo. He completed fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic, focusing on neuromuscular diseases and electromyography.

Neurologist and epilepsy specialist Paula Gerber-Gore, M.D., joined the neurology division of The Oregon Clinic in August 2008. She recently completed a neurophysiology/epilepsy fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Ariz. She helped develop the new inpatient-monitoring unit for epilepsy diagnostics at Providence Portland Medical Center.

Dr. Pohowalla is a pediatric neurologist who has practiced in the Portland community for the past 25 years. He recently joined the Providence physician division as director of Pediatric Neurology. He has special interest and experience in pediatric epilepsy and EEG. Under his leadership, Providence is establishing inpatient EEG monitoring at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in NICU and pediatrics to better serve children with seizure disorders. Dr. Pohowalla earned his medical degree from University of Indore, India.
