Shaping the future of health care for our community
A message from Marty Brantley, president, Providence St. Vincent Medical Foundation Council of Trustees
On behalf of the patients and families served by Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, thank you for joining with us in friendship and support.
Your generosity allows Providence St. Vincent to continue to shape health care for our community. Contributions make it possible to offer technological advances, attract world–class physicians and researchers, and provide the highest level in care.
One example is the new intraoperative MRI coming to Providence St. Vincent in 2009. This technology allows for state–of–the–art imaging during surgery – and is the only one of its kind on the West Coast. It is thanks to community support we are just $1 million away from our $5 million goal.
Being involved with Providence St. Vincent allows me to confidently say care here is among the best available anywhere. Like you, I’ve watched family, friends and neighbors benefit. I’ve also had the pleasure of working with administrators and physicians alike who are passionate about the finest in medical care. This excellence has not gone unrecognized with accolades including recognition as a Top 100 Hospital eight times and the honor of Magnet Recognition for Excellence in Nursing Services since 2001, eight years in a row.
It’s also remarkable to me how many patients Providence St. Vincent’s serves each year. Annually, we deliver 6,300 babies, more than any other medical facility in the state. We admit more than 40,000 inpatients, and have some 80,000 come to our emergency room for care. What’s more, I am especially touched by our Mission to provide compassionate care for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
Providence St. Vincent plays a pivotal role in our community’s well being. All of this is possible because of the community that surrounds and supports us in all we do.
