Pam DeVisser chose to become a family nurse practitioner because she loves the long-term relationships and multigenerational aspects inherent in primary care and family medicine.
In her practice, she emphasizes patient education, spiritual health and prayer, and stresses the importance of ongoing patient-provider relationships for continuity of care. Her philosophy of care is to listen to patients and be an advocate for them.
Pam attended Butterworth Hospital School of Nursing in Grand Rapids, Mich., and Nazareth College in Kalamazoo, Mich., earning her bachelor of science degree in nursing. She received her master of science in nursing from Michigan State University in East Lansing. Pam moved to Oregon in 1988 to begin her nurse practitioner career.
Pam is married with two grown children. She enjoys reading, gardening, and college football and basketball. Pam is very active in her professional organization, Nurse Practitioners of Oregon.
Richard Fisher, M.D.
Board Certified: General Surgery
Dr. Fisher approaches patient care with the philosophy, "Listen to the patient. Be honest with the patient. Never stop caring." He understands the importance of establishing effective communication and encouraging his patients to take active roles in their care. "Each patient deserves the opportunity to ask questions and receive clear answers so they can make informed decisions regarding treatment options."
A board certified general surgeon, Dr. Fisher earned his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his residency in general surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, Calif.
Meegan Gruber, M.D., Ph.D.
Board Certified: Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
In her plastic surgery practice, Dr. Gruber emphasizes getting to know all her patients. She is passionate about listening to what her patients want. Dr. Gruber is inspired by the ability to improve lives and help people feel better about themselves.
Meegan Gruber received her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of California, Berkeley. She went on to receive a Ph.D. in biochemistry and her medical degree from the University of Illinois. Dr Gruber completed her residency at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. and is board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Gruber was born in Miami, Fla. She enjoys sculpture, painting and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Jessica Mehta, M.D.
Board Certified: Dermatology
To Dr. Mehta, spending time with her patients is vital to the success of their care. "I make sure to take time with each one of my patients because I want to individualize their treatment plan, as well as respond to any of their questions or concerns in a supportive and caring environment," she says.
A board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Mehta earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Kansas City, Mo. She completed her residency at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.
Dr. Mehta and her husband have two children. Away from her medical practice, she enjoys spending time with her family. Together, they enjoy traveling, cooking and watching movies.
Karen Murphy, F.N.P.
Board Certified: Family Medicine
Karen Murphy, F.N.P. emphasizes prevention, health promotion and active communication in working with patients in her practice.
A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, Ms. Murphy received her master’s degree in nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 30 years of nursing experience.
The Los Angeles native has raised four children and enjoys making stained glass and gardening. Other hobbies include: hiking, kayaking and traveling.
Rebecca Neborsky, M.D.
Board Certified: Family Medicine
Dr. Rebecca Neborsky’s philosophy of care is to listen to her patients and learn what is meaningful to them, so that
she can better serve their needs. In her practice, she promotes prevention, vitality and lifelong health.
Dr. Neborsky enjoys building a partnership with her patients on their path to wellness. “Together we evaluate the whole being and look at elements of their life that may be having an impact on their health,” she says. “For those interested, I teach stress reduction techniques and encourage patients to adopt a mind-body practice in their daily routine.”
Dr. Neborsky earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pa. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Outside of the office, Dr. Neborsky enjoys cooking, yoga, reading, traveling and playing tennis.
Gregory Porter, M.D.
Board Certified: Otolaryngology
Dr. Porter emphasizes service and honesty in his medical practice. “I try to treat each one of my patients as if they were a member of my family,” he says. “Bringing relief and happiness to my patients is one of the most rewarding aspects of my practice.”
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Pacific Lutheran University, Dr. Porter earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He completed his residency at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center, and is board certified in otolaryngology.
Away from his medical practice, Dr. Porter enjoys camping and hiking with his wife and three children. His hobbies include collecting and making pocketknives.
Camilo Rosales, M.D.
Board Certified: General Surgery
As a physician, Dr. Rosales wants each of his patients to feel that they have been treated with compassion and respect. "I treat my patients like I would like my family, or myself, to be treated," he says. "I make every effort to educate them about their conditions, their treatment options and the possible outcomes."
Dr. Rosales is board certified in general surgery. He earned his medical degree at the University of California, Los Angeles and completed his residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. He spent 18 years in private practice in Maui, Hawaii, before moving to Oregon. In addition to his medical practice in Maui, he served as chief of surgery and chief of staff at a 200-bed hospital. Dr. Rosales has also helped introduce new vascular procedures to the area.
Luis Scheker, M.D.
Board Certified: Dermatology
Dr. Luis Scheker’s philosophy of care is simple: to provide each patient with the same level of care he would extend to his own family. “I feel privileged each day by the trust that patients place in me, and I work as hard as I can to meet and exceed their expectations,” he says.
In his practice, Dr. Scheker emphasizes communication between physician and patient. “I help patients to learn and understand the nature of their skin conditions so that together we can decide on the best treatment plan,” he says.
Dr. Scheker received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. He completed his internship at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind., and his residency in dermatology at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.
Dr. Scheker was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and speaks both Spanish and English. His hobbies include playing jazz piano and saxophone, watching movies and traveling.
