Providence Child Center Offers Free Presentation on Helping Children Learn Better

WHAT: How to Help Your Child Learn Better: Brain Cleaning 101 Jane Healy, Ph.D., will address ways parents and families can help children with learning challenges, differences and disabilities (such as ADHD, ADD, autism spectrum disorder, Asperger Syndrome and nonverbal learning disorder) learn more effectively.

Two sessions offered 9 a.m. – 11: 30 a.m. and 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

DETAILS: Dr. Healy will provide practical, scientifically based strategies to help parents and teachers prepare children of all ages to solve problems. Her presentation addresses issues related to the impact of sleep, eating, routines and daily structure, as well as activities. Parents and professionals working with children with any disability will benefit from this presentation.
Dr. Healy has been an educational psychologist and professional educator for more than 35 years as a classroom teacher, college professor, reading and learning specialist, and elementary school administrator.
