A resident of the North Oregon Coast for 30 years, Dr. Wayne has developed a wide range of expertise in most surgical disciplines with extra emphasis on intestinal surgery, breast surgery and trauma. He was certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1977 and re-certified in 1984, 1994, and 2004. He has a particular interest in endoscopy (both lower and upper) and laparoscopic gall bladder surgery.
Dr. Wayne completed medical school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and his internship at Cornell Medical Center in New York. After a surgical residency at Creighton, he moved to Seattle to pursue active duty with the U.S. Public Health Service. It was there that that Dr. Wayne and his wife discovered the Oregon Coast. They moved to Cannon Beach in 1978.
