A Message About JCAHO From Providence CE, William Sexton |
| |

July 1, 2006
Dear Providence Seaside guest and patient,
Thank you for choosing Providence Seaside Hospital for your care. Our team is committed to providing the highest quality care for you and your loved ones.
Providence Seaside Hospital is accredited as a critical access hospital with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). In 2006, the JCAHO began an unannounced process for their triennial survey of accredited hospitals. The purpose of the survey visit is to evaluate the quality of the care we provide based on JCAHO national standards. These standards set the minimums that health care providers must meet to assure the highest quality and safest patient care is provided to those they serve. We anticipate that as many as 3 surveyors will spend two to three days at Providence Seaside.
We welcome the feedback the surveyors give us, because it helps push us to continually improve. This is also a great opportunity to exhibit some of the extraordinary work we do to make this a great place to receive care.
We would like to extend the opportunity for you to express any positive remarks or concerns directly to JCAHO. You may send communications to Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, One Renaissance Blvd., Oakbrook Terrace, IL, 60181.
At Providence Seaside Hospital, our primary concern is the care and safety of our patients, and we do that well. Just as our foundress, Mother Joseph worked to serve the mission of Providence, we work together as a community to provide you the best patient care possible.
Sincerely,
William Sexton
