Lactation Consulting/Breast Pump Rental It is our goal to provide the healthiest start for you and your baby. Providence encourages and offers support for mothers who choose to breastfeed through the Lactation Education Program and Support Services. Inpatient lactation education and support services are available at bedside to new moms as well as on an outpatient basis to moms who recently delivered their babies. For moms who experience breastfeeding difficulties after they go home, lactation consultants also provide phone support. Weekly breastfeeding support groups help women learn more and share experiences with other mothers. Breast pumps are available for purchase or rental for women who are returning to work, who have babies in the NICU, or who want to help fathers and grandparents share in the babyıs feeding. Breast pumps and other breastfeeding supplies are available in the BabyWise Department at Providence Saint Joseph and Providence Holy Cross Medical Centers.
