PROVIDENCE HOOD RIVER OFFERS
RECESSION SOLUTIONS: FREE WELLNESS TESTS
AT HOOD RIVER COUNTY FAIR THIS WEEK

 WHAT:
Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital offers free wellness checks at its mobile health unit on location at the Hood River County Fair.
WHEN:
Noon – 8 p.m.
Wednesday, July 22 through Saturday, July 25 (See Fair schedule below)

Providence Mobile Health Unit, Hood River County Fairgrounds, Odell
DETAILS:
Providence offers free blood pressure checks, free cholesterol checks, free pulmonary capacity testing and free glucose checks on a first come, first served basis at the Hood River County Fair. The health checks are available while supplies last starting at noon Wednesday through Saturday. In addition, a physician’s assistant will answer health questions 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday and Friday. Staff at the Mobile Health Unit also will give out free items such as band aid dispensers and offer fun activities for kids.
Providence Mobile Health Unit offers free health services such as health care screening, education, outreach and referrals to patients in need of free or discounted health and dental care. The mobile health unit is on the road every week in rural communities, serving the uninsured or under insured in our community.
During the week of the fair, Providence Mobile Health Unit will not be on location at its regular stops in Pine Grove, Parkdale, Cascade Locks and Odell.
