PROVIDENCE WELCOMES PSYCHIATRIST,
BILINGUAL/BICULTURAL THERAPIST TO
GORGE COUNSELING AND TREATMENT

HOOD RIVER, Ore. – Providence Gorge Counseling and Treatment Services is welcoming psychiatrist Daniel McCabe, M.D., and bilingual/bicultural licensed clinical social worker Linda Torres De Guzman to the clinic.
Dr. McCabe is a graduate of Tulane School of Medicine and served his residency at Duke University Medical Center. He received the 2005 Bick Award from the Louisiana Psychiatric Medical Association for being the “most promising medical student in psychiatry.” His focus is adult psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy.
“I’m thrilled to join a team of mental health professionals who are well bonded to each other and to their patients,” said Dr. McCabe. “I believe therapy is a tool used to help patients gain compassion for themselves. My goal is to help patients live life to the fullest capacity.”
Torres De Guzman is a graduate of Portland State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in sciences psychology and a master’s in social work. She is the only bilingual and bicultural mental health therapist in the Gorge. Her scope of practice includes working with depression, anxiety, stress reduction and family conflict.
“I’m trained in a variety of settings, which helps me serve a diverse population,” said Torres De Guzman. “My goal is to help patients discover their strengths and make positive changes in their lives.”
Providence Gorge Counseling and Treatment offers a wide range of counseling, treatment services and prevention programs for children, adolescents and adults.
